Information on the implementation of the Accessibility Act on our website
The companies of Pirktl Holiday GmbH are actively committed to ensuring that our corporate websites comply with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) regarding digital accessibility. Our goal is to enable all users – regardless of their individual circumstances – to access our digital content without restriction.
Implementation and challenges
The technical implementation of digital accessibility is a multi-layered and demanding process. The necessary adjustments concern, among others, the following areas:
- Structure and navigation: optimising user guidance for people with motor impairments.
- Alternative texts and contrasts: improving the presentation for users with visual impairments.
- Screen reader support: technical adjustments for better use with assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation: ensuring that all functions can be operated entirely without a mouse.
In close coordination with experts and specialists, we are working to make our website accessible step by step. Due to the complexity and the associated effort involved, full implementation will take some time.
Support through AI-based tools
To further improve accessible access to our website, we recommend the use of assistive technologies such as Microsoft Copilot. This AI-based tool can help to structure content, summarise information and accomplish tasks more efficiently. Microsoft Copilot is integrated into various Microsoft 365 applications and into the Edge browser and offers functions that can be particularly helpful for people with different needs.
Our commitment
For us, accessibility is not only a legal obligation but an expression of our commitment to lived hospitality and participation. It is a genuine concern of ours to make our offerings accessible to all people. That is why, for many years, we have been channelling our commitment specifically into the implementation of a wide variety of measures.
24/7 telephone availability and personal support
Our hosts are personally available around the clock at the telephone number +43 5264 5212. They provide our guests with comprehensive advice, accept bookings and offer personal support at any time – by telephone and on site at Biohotel Schweitzer.
Individual needs
During your stay at Biohotel Schweitzer, too, we do everything we can to remove barriers. This concerns both the accessibility of public areas and individual requirements, for example with regard to nutrition. Our kitchen responds flexibly to personal needs and offers tailored menu options. In the rooms, too, we have a special concept for allergies, for example. This includes in particular the provision of allergy-friendly bed linen, special cleaning, etc.
Inclusion
For us, inclusion means enabling individual opportunities and creating real prospects. It is an essential part of our corporate culture and leads to equal participation – including in the labour market. As early as 2018, our commitment to inclusion was honoured by the Social Ministry Service (Sozialministeriumservice) with the “We are inclusive” seal of quality.
