What we stand for

Honest, sustainable and full of flavour

Our cuisine grows out of the history of our house and the pioneering work of Maria Schweitzer — Europe's first organic hotel. From it comes everything you taste on the plate today.

Around 80% of our ingredients come from certified organic farming, much of it straight from the region, and our drinks are predominantly organic too. Seasonal, fresh and mindfully chosen — so every dish tastes good and leaves you feeling good.

We love to spoil our guests each morning with a generous organic breakfast buffet. Every ingredient comes from certified organic farming — so you start your holiday day well nourished.

Four-course dinner menu

When you book half board, a table in the restaurant is automatically reserved for you. Look forward to a varied four-course dinner menu paired with a selection of fine organic wines. On our closing days, a table at Alpenresort Schwarz is of course held for you.

You are also welcome to choose individual courses from the four-course menu, or lighter dishes from our kitchen recommendations. External guests are warmly welcome to enjoy the menu with us as well — table reservation required.

For breakfast guests who would like to dine with us in the evening, we recommend reserving a table early.

A short portrait of a pioneer

Maria Schweitzer

Maria Schweitzer comes from a large family of eight children — her mother, her first teacher, cooked for them all with passion. Sustainability and the highest standards for ingredient quality remain, to this day, the foundation of our kitchen.

Her natural cuisine of organic ingredients with traceable origin is reinterpreted today by our head chef. With Maria Schweitzer, our house became Europe's first certified organic hotel more than 30 years ago.
